in John 8:12, Jesus said “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.” this verse calls us to cling to the hope that, as long as we have Jesus, we can live our lives vibrantly for Him and never again reside in the darkness of the world. And in John 1:9 it says “the true light, which enlightens everyone, was coming into the world.” He brings light to all in darkness!! Here’s where it gets really good- in Matthew 5:14, if says “YOU are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden.” when Jesus met us at our weakest, we inherited the riches of eternal life. We inherited the full power of the Holy Spirit. With that power, came a light never to be put out- never to be hidden. Think about the beautiful lights on a Christmas tree. People put those on display for a whole month- some people for two months! They are proud of their lights and want to show them off. We have been given the light of life! We ARE the light of this world! The light to a dark, dark world. As Christmas is nearing closer by the second, listen to how your Savior is calling you to shine your light- not just during this beautiful season. Merry Christmas Eve Eve!!
