the nativity

they say a picture is worth a thousand words. let’s pretend for a second that they had cameras in Jesus’s day. what if someone took a picture of the real “nativity?” Psalm 40:5 says this: “Many, Lord my God, are the wonders You have done, the things You planned for us. None can compare with You; were I to speak of Your deeds, they would be too many to declare.” Thinking back about our imaginary picture at the nativity, I think it would be too powerful for us to handle. We would be speechless at the sight, not being able to describe in words what we were seeing. I love how there are so many various kinds of nativities because it gives us a spirit of wonder. It keeps us curious as to what the real nativity would have looked like. So I think that, if someone were to take a picture of the real nativity, it would far surpass the stereotype of “a picture is worth a thousand words.”
