rooted.

Have you ever had one of those moments in your life where God moves in a mountain-top experience kind of way? And then after time, you begin to lose the burning in your heart for Him? Yeah me too. But that was then, and this is now. This past week, I went to One Camp with my church. Jesus came, and He spoke life. As I was reading in Ezekiel this week, chapter 37 grabbed my heart. God told Ezekiel to speak the Word to the dry bones. He turned their hearts of stone into hearts of flesh. The bones came alive by the power of God, and that’s the only way I know to describe this week. We grew deep roots in the Lord. Rooted in His love, we were awakened to all that He has for us. It was a revival of His children calling out to Him in praise and adoration.

In the morning

In the evening

At the end of all days

I will sing

I will shout

You are worthy of praise.

Make that your prayer. He is worthy, He is good, and His love for you is everlasting. He seeks you out and yearns for your heart. So lean in to what He has for you; lean in to His Word and you will find yourself deeply rooted in Him. He is the God of Esther, Ruth, Noah, Job, Jonah, and YET He is the God of YOU!! He will move in your life, more powerful than you could ever imagine.

So Jesus we praise You today. We thank You for Your mercy and grace. Thank You for seeking us out and for yearning for us. We lean into You and all that You have for us. Make our roots deep and consume our hearts with a burning fire. Let this not be just a moment, but a MOVEMENT. We tremble before Your glory, God, as we are unworthy of singing Your praise. But Jesus that is Your grace at work- that You made us worthy through Your death and resurrection. Oh how good You are to us! We praise You with our lives today, Jesus. For all our days, allow us to praise Your Name. You are Holy. We love You, Jesus. It’s in Your beautiful, wonderful, powerful, almighty Name that we pray. Amen.

“So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live your lives in him, rooted and built up in him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness.” -Colossians 2:6-7
